Email & SMS Acceptable Use / Opt-In Policy
ZenSMS provides messaging services on the condition that all messages comply with applicable anti-spam regulations.
Required Consent
Users must obtain explicit consent from recipients before sending:
- Marketing emails
- Promotional SMS
- Any non-transactional messages
Unsubscribe
All marketing communications must include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately and recipients are suppressed from future sends.
Suppression Lists
We maintain global suppression lists for:
- Hard bounces
- Complaint addresses
- Unsubscribe requests
Bounced Messages
Hard bounces are automatically suppressed and reported.
Complaint Thresholds
If a user exceeds complaint thresholds defined by AWS SES best practices, their sending privileges will be suspended.
